The following is important information for those  who care about the environment, social justice, peace and human rights and want to do something about it.

Use the system!

In an election you get one vote.  Depending on the population, your vote may count as one in a hundred thousand.  As a member of a political party you could have three, six, or more votes in the system. Your vote could be in a 1:50, up to a 1:500 ratio in riding votes and approximately 1:3,500 in a leadership convention.

NATIONAL PLAN OF EFFECTIVE ACTION

We would like you to join the party for two years.  Within the two years all you have to do is go to one meeting -- the meeting that nominates the delegates to the party convention.  Further participation can include talking to your friends and family and getting them to join, or possibly becoming a riding organizer, or a board member and/or delegate.

A delegate votes for the national party executive and votes for resolutions at policy conventions. Enough delegates to a leadership convention will have a definite influence on who may be the prime minister of Canada.

To become a delegate is very simple.  First, join the political party and you will become a member of the riding association. As a riding member you vote for the convention delegates. In addition, you vote for board members, and eventually, for your choice of the party candidate in an election.

We can make the system work for everyone, by being involved and organized in the democratic political process!

IF THE PEOPLE LEAD, THE LEADERS WILL FOLLOW!
